On April 25, the National Blood Management Committee made a decision to adjust deferral period for COVID 19 confirmed cases as follows.
¡Ü Individuals diagnosed with COVID-19 should wait at least ten(10) days after full recovery to donate blood. (reduced from four(4) weeks) - Seven(7) days after confirmed date(stated in the notice of quarantine) or release date from quarantine(isolation) is calculated as full recovery
For the COVID-19 vaccination, you still need to wait at least seven days from the date of each vaccination (wait additional seven days if you have experienced side effects from the vaccine)
We encourage our donors to participate in blood donation to help patients in need of a transfusion. |
