    Korean Red Cross Blood Services(KRCBS) has conducted 2018 Capacity Building for Blood Transfusion 

Service Delivery (Tanzania) supported by KOICA CIAT program from July 19th to August 1st, 2018.

   The purpose of this year program was to strengthen and improve blood policy, blood promotion strategy 

and IT system in blood services for Tanzanian blood services.

   With 15 participants from MoH, NBTS, and other blood service institutions, KRCBS provided the 

information including the overview of Korean blood services, blood promotion and  IT system in Korea.

   The participants also had an opportunity to learn other topics such as blood testing, inventory management

 and blood management in hospital. Participants also visited Blood center, Blood donation 

centers, Plasma fractionation center, Blood laboratory center in order to help their understanding.

​

   As a part of the program, the participants developed action plan which they could possbily implement in Tanzania​.

   KRCBS will continue to cooperate with blood services from different countries and share our knowledge 

and technical assistance with them in order to improve blood services at a global level.
